Campfire Games: A Transformative Journey
The placement year boosted my confidence as a co-founder and 2D art director at Campfire Games Ltd. which has been an important part of my learning journey. It allowed me to apply and expand upon the knowledge I gained in my academic studies. Moreover, I've developed valuable skills specific to my role in overseeing visual design and creativity.
Daily Adventures in Creativity
My daily responsibilities varied in every stage of the project. Typically, we began our day by outlining tasks, after which I would focus on creating character designs for the game, developing UI elements, or crafting social media assets. At the end of the day/ week, we would showcase our project progress. My responsibilities consisted of guiding and coordinating the creation of character designs, UI elements, and other 2D assets while ensuring they align with the games vision and maintaining a consistent visual style.
Collaboration and Real-World Challenges
I've had the opportunity to work with a diverse team, face real-world challenges in the field of art direction, and contribute to meaningful projects that pushed the boundaries of my creativity – Cloud Bastion and Cyberun mobile games.

Our company was fortunate to have the support of the Tech Incubator Programme, which proved instrumental in our growth. I was benefitted to have access to opportunities, mentorship, and resources I've had access to during this placement. I'm excited to have taken the lessons learnt, both in creative leadership and business knowledge, into the next chapter of my professional journey.
